Skim your paper, looking at only the first 2-3 words of each sentence.
Stop if one of these words is: while, because, when, if, or after ("dependent markers").
If necessary, please a comma at the end of the introductory dependent clause.
could you give me an example
I found a typo in your instructions.
"If necessary, place a comma at the end..." The word "place" should replace the word "please."
Thanks for all the great tips. I get a lot of good info from this website.
my question was what is a introductory dependent clause not how to correct one! stupid fool!
On the last sentence, did you mean "place" a comma?
