How do I use semicolons?

Semicolons and Internal Clauses

Semicolons are used when there are internal clauses separated by commas, which could otherwise be misread.

Ex: We received your letters on December 30, 1992; January 8, 1993; February 3, 1993; and March 8, 1994.
